Drive Day — We Come to Your Complex

On the scheduled day, our trained SocietyScrap team arrives with weighing scales, vehicles, and staff. We set up a collection point in your complex. Residents bring their scrap — phones, laptops, newspapers, metal, plastic — and get weighed and paid on the spot. There are no pickup charges or hidden costs.

Instant Payment for All Residents

Every resident receives their individual payment instantly via UPI or cash — right at the collection point. Your RWA receives its commission the same day. We handle all sorting, recycling logistics, and compliance. The whole drive typically wraps up in a few hours.

Our community drive estimate is a good-faith estimate based on current market rates and the categories/quantities your residents typically have. The final payout per resident is confirmed after weighing on drive day. In most cases the final payout matches or exceeds the estimate — bulk volume from your complex means better rates for all.

Absolutely. Community drive collection is 100% free for your apartment complex regardless of the volume or location (within Bangalore). We do not charge your RWA or residents any travel fees, setup fees, or commission. Your RWA actually earns a commission from SocietyScrap on every drive.

For community drives, residents simply bundle newspapers, cardboard, and magazines or bag other scrap items and bring them to the collection point we set up in your complex. Our team brings weighing scales and pays each resident at the collection point immediately. We accept newspaper, books, metal, plastic, electronics, and more — all in one drive.

We strongly recommend performing a factory reset and removing SIM cards / memory cards before handing over your device. Our team also performs a certified data wipe on all devices before they are refurbished or recycled. We follow GDPR-aligned data handling practices to protect your privacy.

We buy non-working devices too! A broken or non-functional device will fall under the "Poor" condition category and will receive a lower buyback value. Devices with cracked screens, water damage or dead batteries are still accepted. Select "Poor" condition when filling out your quote to get an accurate estimate.

Payment is made instantly at the time of pickup — no waiting. If you choose UPI transfer, the money reflects in seconds. Bank transfers (NEFT/IMPS) are processed within 2-4 hours. Cash is given on the spot. We never ask you to wait days for payment.
